GroupMe Bots is a no-code GroupMe bot builder and GroupMe bot creator. You create a bot for a GroupMe group chat, add plugins, and manage those bots from the Bots page. You do not write a program, run a server, or create a GroupMe API key. Log in with your GroupMe account and the new-bot form lists the groups GroupMe returns for that account.
A GroupMe bot posts into a group under its own name and avatar. That is the GroupMe chatbot for the group. It can greet a new member, reply when a message matches a rule you set, or post a line you wrote ahead of time. GroupMe also lets developers build bots with its bot API. That path means writing code and hosting a callback URL that GroupMe can call. GroupMe Bots does that part. You pick a plugin and fill in a form. This site receives the callback and posts the reply.
Choose Login with GroupMe. GroupMe opens its own sign-in page. After you approve access, GroupMe sends this site an access token. Your GroupMe password is not sent and is not stored. The new-bot form then lists groups from your GroupMe account so you can choose where the bot goes.
On the Bots page, choose New Bot. Pick a group, enter a name, and save. An image URL is optional. Saving creates the bot in that group and posts a message there saying you added it.
Open the bot and choose Add a plugin. Pick a plugin, fill in the form, and save. You can edit or delete that plugin later from the same page. Simple Text Responder runs on a free account. Each other plugin opens the Premium page unless your subscription is active.
These are the plugins the menu offers. A bot can hold more than one. The app does not cap how many plugins you add. Free accounts can add Simple Text Responder. The rest require Premium.
Replies when the whole message matches the text you set, ignoring capitalization. A word inside a longer message does not trigger it.
Posts your welcome message when GroupMe says someone was added to the group or has joined. Use !name in the message and the bot replaces it with that person's name.
Posts your reply when a message contains the single word you set.
Posts in the group when a check finds that the Twitch channel you named is live.
Gives you a URL. When IFTTT sends a message to that URL, the bot posts it in the group.
Posts your reply when a message contains every word in the comma-separated list you set, as separate words.
When a message contains @everyone as its own word, the bot mentions every member of the group.
Creating a GroupMe bot does not require a paid plan. Simple Text Responder runs without one. Premium is optional. The Premium page lists it at $5.99 a month, and checkout is the Stripe pricing table on that page.

Premium $5.99 / month
A GroupMe bot posts messages in a group chat under its own name and avatar. On GroupMe Bots, a plugin decides when it posts, for example a welcome message or a reply. People also call that a GroupMe chatbot. It posts only when a plugin on this site tells it to.
Log in with your GroupMe account, open New Bot, pick a group, and name the bot. Then open the bot and choose Add a plugin, fill in the form, and save. You do not write code or run a server. This site sets the bot callback URL for you. The IFTTT plugin is the exception: it is Premium, and it gives you a URL to paste into IFTTT.
Creating bots is free, and the app does not limit how many bots you can create. The Simple Text Responder plugin runs on a free account. Every other plugin requires Premium. Free accounts can parse a set number of messages each month. When that allowance is used up, plugins stop responding until the count resets at the end of the month. Each bot counts each incoming message once, so two bots in the same group count every message twice. At 50 percent and at 100 percent of the allowance, the bot posts a short notice in the chat. Premium is $5.99 a month on the Premium page. It parses messages without that monthly cap and unlocks the other plugins.
Yes. Simple Text Responder is free. It replies when the whole message matches the text you set, ignoring capitalization. It does not reply when that text is only part of a longer message. It replies when a message contains every word in a list you set, as separate words.

Yes. Login with GroupMe sends you to GroupMe's own sign-in page at oauth.groupme.com. GroupMe Bots then receives an access token. It does not receive or store your GroupMe password.
The GroupMe bot API requires you to write code and host a callback URL that GroupMe can call. GroupMe Bots is a no-code GroupMe bot builder and GroupMe bot maker. You use forms, and this site hosts the callback and posts messages for you.
